Grilled Peach Brown Betty

Grilled peaches, butter, brown sugar, cinnamon, clove, oats, and pecans all grilled together in a cast iron skillet. Don't forget the ice cream!

Ingredients
  

  • 12 Peaches Halved and Pitted
  • 2 Sticks of Butter
  • 1 cups Brown Sugar
  • 2 tsp Cinnamon
  • 1/2 tsp Clove
  • 3/4 cup Flour
  • 1 cup Oats
  • 1 cup Chopped Pecans
  • 8 Mint Leaves
  • Vanilla Ice Cream

Instructions
 

  • Grill the peaches until the are browned and lightly charred. Slice the peaches and place into a mixing bowl.
  • In a separate mixing bowl, add butter, sugar, cinnamon, clove, flour, oats, and pecans. Work the mixture with your hands to get the butter incorporated into the rest of the ingredients.
  • Place half of the topping mixture into the bowl with the peaches. Coat the peaches with the mixture.
  • Butter a cast iron skillet and place the peaches into it. Top the peaches with the remainder of the topping.
  • Place the skillet on the grill over medium low heat and cook for about twenty minutes with the lid closed.
  • Tip: If your grill is large enough, turn one side up to high and leave half of the grill off. Place the skillet on the side that is off and close the lid, the heat from the opposite side will bake the Brown Betty.
  • Serve with Vanilla Ice Cream and Mint.
